How do I translate text from an image?

Upload the image (JPG, PNG, JPEG or WEBP), pick the source and target language, and the AI translates the text automatically — usually in a few seconds. The translated words are placed back into the picture with the original layout, so you download a finished image, not a wall of text.

Can I translate text from an image for free?

Yes. The standard translation mode is free — upload an image and translate the text without installing anything. Smart and advanced modes, which redraw complex backgrounds more cleanly, are available on paid plans.

Which languages can it translate?

Over 100 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. You can translate in either direction — for example Japanese to English, or English to Chinese.

Does the translated image keep the original layout?

Yes. The AI erases the original text, restores the background behind it, then sets the translation in a matching position, size and style — so screenshots, product photos, posters and comics keep their design.

Can I edit the translation if a word is off?

Click any line of text in the translated image to correct the wording, or adjust its font, color and size. You proofread directly on the picture before exporting.

How long are uploaded images stored?

Images from visitors are kept for 24 hours; images from signed-in users are kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically. All transfers are encrypted.
